Evolutionary Revolution # 2

The revolution won’t start in a school or take place on a battle field. The revolution will not will not hold batons and throw tear gas. The revolution will not kick off with clever signs held by protesters. It will not sprout in the board room. The revolution will not be spearheaded by a politician, or a political body of any kind. The revolution will not start with anyone who wants to be remembered for their leadership. There is no man made institution that will kick start the revolution, so stop looking for the right group, the right guy, the right Church, the right democrat, or the right republican. The revolution will start within oneself. Then, it will ripple throughout the machine.

The revolution will have many manifestations. We’ll see it in the teacher who understands that what they teach has already been taught. We’ll see it in the student who drops out to find something never taught in school, oneself. We’ll see it amongst battalions throughout the world, who refuse to shoot one another for the rich man’s wars. We’ll see it when protesters finally realize, they’re all fighting the same thing. They’ll drop their signs and talk to one another realizing they’re all fighting for the same thing.

The revolution may surprise you. It may take place in a CEO who realizes “his” company, was never his and the company should not have the rights of man. In fact, he may realize the company should be the servant of humanity. Discussions of technology freeing humanity, not enslaving it, will be the next business venture. And if we don’t like what you sell, your business shall fold. For revolution allows an invisible hand called truth to function. A revolution’s true profit isn’t dividends or quarterly earnings, it’s freedom. There’s no time to sell the latest instrument in the control grid. There’s no controlling a revolution that refuses to be controlled.

The revolution will not play out as interpretation of the Book of Revelation given by your preacher. There’s no need to board your windows. There’s no need to go to confession. There’s no reason to place faith in anything but yourself. The revolution can take place within the parishioner without a parish. No stain glass cathedrals are necessary. No brick and mortar structures are needed to gather, although the doors can still stay open. The Preachers may not approve, the family may be disappointed, but you’ll do right, if you know what’s right.

No expert can explain the revolution to you. No lawyer, no doctor, no historian, nobody can explain to you why you do what is right. No collar, no uniform, no gun, no carefully constructed control grid, can stop this from occurring. Swallow your pride, dismiss what you’ve learned, and don’t believe anyone until you find your true self. Chances are, when the mental shackles are broken, the propaganda walls are smashed down, and you move on to fight the good fight, you’ll like where you are.

What are you waiting for? Have a revelation, start your revolution. Be what you’ve always wanted to be. Dismiss the nay-sayers. Say good bye to anyone, any institution that puts obstacles in your way. Realize, you don’t have to jump over their hurdles, you can just walk around them. And on your journey, people will look at you, scratch their heads and say, “What’s that guys problem.” But as time goes on, you’ll turn your head and look back at what you’ve done and be happy you were a part. You’ll laugh a little inside as everyone tries to catch up with you because you know they should just catch up with them self. Be the revolution. You are the revolution.

Evolutionary Revolution # 1

Revolution. What will it look like? What images does that word bring to your mind? Do you see bullets, knives, and machetes? Do you see riots, broken windows, and vandalism? Do you see demonstrations? Do you see protests? Do you see masses of people, marching in the streets? What is it that you see?

Have you ever had a realization? A moment when you make sense of something, anything, big or small. An issue, a person, a problem, a decision, a conundrum all come in to focus when there’s a realization. You finally have clarity. You finally see the answer that has been in front of you the whole time.

Many people walk around, trying to make sense of a complicated world. That complicated world is just a mental prison, set up and created by someone else, unwittingly maintained by you. Once in while, in search for answers, people stumble across a door they’ve never seen before.

“Why doesn’t someone just open the door?” one says.

You can wait all day, all month, all year for that door to open. But you don’t have to wait if you don’t want to. Truth is, you can unlock that door. You have the key, don’t you see. You’ve had the key this whole time. So open the door, take a look, because revolution is on the other side.

No need to be scared. Revolution takes the form of you. This is what I see. This is revolution to me. Through that door you’ve just walked through where you dropped your baggage at the threshold, dismissed everything you thought you knew, and everything you’ve been taught from anyone. Start over, start fresh. Find yourself. Find the revolution. Take your time, there’s no rush. No one’s going to tell you what to do except you.

The revolution can be scary, no doubt. But don’t protest, partake in finding out who you really are, and what you’re here to do. The answers may surprise you. For all you know, you never knew.

“Never knew what?” you ask.

“Yourself,” you answer.

Video Post: Paradise On Earth

Om Nama Shivaya!

Alright, so I was lounging around because my body is still recovery from a month long bender of Raw Food, Creativity and Work... as well as moving across the country. I came across this video of David Wolfe talking about paradise on Earth, which a lot of people think is some sort of utopic fantasy world where everyone is dancing around like sprites... now this may be someone's version of paradise, which is totally chill( I wouldn't mind being a sprite) but I think David Wolfe offers a much more realistic, more attainable paradise... I'm in!! I would also like to add that no matter what platform or media David is involved in, he seems to always be himself, say it how it is or at least how he sees it, and most time will offer you some sort of Truth that can completely change the way one may view a particular subject. I am not much for idol worship, but I thank the Kosmos for David Wolfe, he is truly inspiring and true spiritual intellectual and Evolutionary.

News: 6/5/09

Hello Everyone!

WOW!... All I can say is WOW!

I wanted to give a bit of an update because it has been a few days since my last post and I have been the busiest I've ever been in my life... it's been a bit on the hectic side. We made it to Boulder, Colorado and it has been really awesome so far. It took us about thirty or so hours to get here from Philadelphia, over a two day period... and we stopped off in Chicago for some delicious Raw Cuisine at Karyn's. We were trailing our car and the dolly that was hauling it blew out a tire and we completely lost our tire... Meredith was driving at the time and we didn't even notice it, some nice young gentleman pulled up beside us and clued us in. We sat on the side of the road for about four hours but everything got taken care of and we got back on the road and made great time. We arrived on Monday, unpacked the 24' moving truck on Tuesday (which was amazingly packed by my friend Harley), returned the truck on Wednesday and started unpacking and setting things up... oh yeah, I put in a new floor in our Art Room. We spent all day today unpacking and tomorrow is the first day of Meredith and I's two-day-one-year-wedding-anniversary. I'm not much for anniversaries but I'm pretty sure we are going to scope out a Raw restaurant in Denver, because there are none in Boulder, and then we will probably go up to the mountain where we read each other vows, should be a fun next couple of days.

The mountains here are awesome and it seems like Boulder is a really eclectic and is mostly a laid back town. The region is very bio-diverse and there seems to be a good mix of people. Meredith, Chris and I went for a couple of drives, in between moving and unpacking, and the sites are unbelievable and I can't wait to explore more. We are just finishing up unpacking and we are looking forward to getting things going. Here is a list of projects that we have completed and expect a bunch more posts on them:

- "Divine Feminine" - This is the project that I did with my friend and fellow creative, Ben Webb.
- "Chloe's Mural" - This is a mural project that I did with Meredith, my evolutionary life mate and fellow creative.
- "Rutger's Mural" - This another mural project that I did with Meredith. Five Walls in seven days... while packing, moving, tattooing and finishing up another mural... whew!
- I also have completed a bunch of tattoos that I will be posting and expect some more posts of my sketchbook and future work.

I anticipate that my current state of being and the environment that I am in will have a heavy influence on my future creative endeavors, so keep tuning in... I have know idea what's going to happen... it's pretty liberating.

Thanks to everyone who supported us during our move, it was awesome that our friends and family helped us during such a hectic transition.
